How to Use Ocean Forest® Potting Soil

For Container Gardens

1. Fill your container with soil, leaving 1 inch (2.5 cm) of space below the rim.
2. Water thoroughly after planting.
3. For best results, feed with FoxFarm fertilizers during growth and bloom phases.

For Houseplants

1. Water thoroughly after planting.
2. Feed with Grow Big® Liquid Plant Food for continued nourishment.

For Established Container Gardens

1. Apply a 3-inch (7.5 cm) top layer around existing plants.
2. Gently work the soil into the existing mix.
3. Water thoroughly.

For Trees, Shrubs & Roses

1. Select a container 2-3 times the diameter of the root mass and 3-6 inches (7.5-15 cm) deeper.
2. Add soil to position the root mass at the correct height.
3. Secure the plant while filling in soil until the container is almost full.
4. Firmly press around the plant’s perimeter and water thoroughly. Avoid compacting the soil too tightly.
5. Fill the container to the top and water again.
